Full of carbs, meat and cheese this might be terribly conducive to our diets but of course for kids is a sure winner. A combination of a hotdog meets some bolognaise sauce, my son’s eyes sung with the stars at sound of them. Therefore with a side of French fries or some steamed vegetables these are a perfect dinnertime meal or a smaller version can be a tasty snack at any time of the day. They are yummy, cheesy and just plain good for the soul. Try some today.
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 small green pepper, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tin condensed pasta sauce, undiluted
1/4 cup ketchup
1 cup vinegar
1 Tbsp prepared mustard
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic paste
Instructions
First cook the beef sauce. Add the beef, green pepper and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato soup, brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, salt and garlic paste and let it heat through. Grill hot dogs, covered, over medium heat for 6-10 minutes or until heated through, turning occasionally. Serve on buns. Top each with 1/4 cup beef mixture. Top with warmed process cheese sauce and grilled onions if desired.
