Sweet gooey caramel giving away to rich decadent chocolate, oh my tastebuds must leap in utter delight. Then upon carefully reading as to how to make it, I was in disbelief, only three ingredients, this cannot be so. I felt to put across a fabulous dessert to yourselves I must have an intricate list of ingredients and copious hours of souffeling, basting... whatever. But the reality is that you don't need a whole load of ingredients to make something fabulous, just a few will do and coupled with love and patience, you've got yourself a winner. Therefore my fabulous readers, yes this pie does exist and yes it's only a matter of boiling a few cans of condensed milk and yes I have taken the liberty of covering it, but the reality is that this pie tastes SOOO good and things like that just have to be shared. Happy cooking!
Ingredients
- Two packets of chocolate biscuits
- Cup of melted butter
- 2 tins of condensed milk
- Grated chocolate
Method
I used KALO cookies for this recipe, but you can use chocolate biscuit of choice. Into a large ziplock bag put in your cookies and crush them with a rolling pin. Add the crumbled cookies into a bowl and pour in your melted butter and mix till the mixture comes together. Press evenly into the pie dish. You can refrigerate until you get the rest of the ingredients together. Take your condensed milk tins, wrappers off and boil in water for three hours. You might have to add water occasionally. After three hours, let the cans sit for a good half an hour before you open them, otherwise they might explode. Now pour all that gooey caramel into your biscuit-based pie dish. Refrigerate either overnight or for several hours. Grate some dark chocolate over it. It's incredible and so easy to make!
