Saké which also means rice wine in Japanese takes the prize for the most unique name I have had the pleasure of knowing. Saké loves her food and is up for it any time of the day. She also is familiar with language and her reaction to anyone mentioning walks, is priceless. She also loves ice which is another first as well!
Pet's Details
Name : Saké
Breed : Terrier/ Sheepdog mix
Age : 7 years
Owner : Aruni and Dinu
What's the story behind the name you've given?
All our friends had dogs with names like Brandy and Whiskey so we decided to call her Saké! (The Japanese rice wine).
What are meal times and bath times like?
She LOVES her food and will go the extra mile for it. Saké likes her bath times and we take quite an effort to bathe her, comb her down and even use the hair dryer on her. This is important in the upkeep of long-haired dogs that need a lot of attention and grooming.
Does she do anything out of the ordinary, which fascinates you?
Saké knows and reacts to certain words like “ice” (she loves eating ice), “brush”, “let’s go on a walk” and “no”. She also has a lot of soft toys, which she grooms in the evenings by herself.
What is her most favourite fun time activity?
EATING and going on walks.
What is the naughtiest thing she has done?
Eating all the computer wires when she was a puppy!
How did you find her?
Dinu’s husband gave us Saké as a gift.
How does she react when you've returned home?
She squeals and barks in excitement and runs around!
What's the best thing about her?
Saké is so loving and loyal towards our family. She is a great guard dog and a good mouse-catcher!
What was the most unforgettable moment that you have shared with her?
When Dinu used Saké to be a feature on her wedding card! Pet dogs are family after all.
