views 771On the 18th of July, Dilmah t Lounge extended its food menu from savoury/sweet waffles and crepes to a whole new exciting lunch menu.
The menu was launched by the well-known chef and restaurateur, Peter Kuruwita who warmly introduced the lunch options and spoke about Dilmah and what the brand stands for.
The new lunch menu is available from 12 to 2pm from Monday to Friday and consists of a few good combo offers.
I had their Cheese and Tomato Pizza combined with a Prince of Kandy ice tea at Rs. 790. The pizza had a crispy crust and a base of tomato sauce with melted cheese on top.
The sauce was a little overpowering but the size of the pizza was satisfying. There is also a Chicken and Tomato option as well.
If pizza doesn’t quite seem like a lunch option, they also have a Chicken Burger with an ice tea of your choice at Rs. 930. The bun of the burger is infused with Ceylon Souchong and is served along with a Waldorf salad and was well received by those who tasted it.
Other food options on the menu include a Stir Fried Ginger Chicken waffle/crepe that looked amazing on the menu.
But for the most part what’s really exciting is their dessert corner! They have Sweet Chocolate Chilli O’Mine that’s paired with Ceylon Ginger tea at Rs. 620 and Baked Cheese Cake with hot tea at Rs. 775 but more importantly they have churros!
Yes! Churros! It comes with a caramel dip and it’s honestly one of the best I’ve had. The churros are made to the right consistency and the caramel dip was the perfect combination. A definite must try and so worth it at just Rs. 395.
Overall, the Dilmah T Lounge is one of Colombo’s favourite places to meet a couple of friends and unwind and the new lunch menu is one that is definitely worth trying!
