Inspired by Portuguese, Ceilao literally means Ceylon while Gosto means taste and this combination perfectly match the food served here. Although initially one would find it a tad bit difficult to locate the venue, anyone who visits this coffee shop once is sure to return once again. Offering a range of delicious waffles, Western dishes such as spaghetti, pizza, and beverages such as mocktails, coffees and teas, Ceilao Gosto is one of those few places which allow guests to enjoy their meal in peace.
Ceilao Gosto doesn’t just offer meals for the sake of it. The team of experts behind the scenes make sure that the food served is visally appeasing as well. Let it be a mocktail, a wrap or a waffle for that matter, anyone is sure to look twice at the food before they start munching in. Those who visit Ceilao Gosto shouldn’t worry much about putting in a few more calories because they also offer a variety of healthy foods and beverages for those who are figure-conscious. Natural fruit and vegetable drinks add to this list which is infused with natural ingredients such as cardamom, bees honey, treacle honey and spices.

Initiating this venture in May 2014, Mr. and Mrs. Daulagala, the sole proprietors of Ceilao Gosto are proud about the journey they have come so far. Sharing her comments with Daily Mirror Life, Mrs. Daulagala said, “I always wanted to start up a coffee shop and when I told this to my husband he was also interested. Then again I did not want it to be just another coffee shop but I wanted it to be a bit more interesting.”
