Healthy Life Clinic is a multispecialty outpatient centre in the heart of Colpetty renowned for its strong leadership in diabetes care. Dr. Kayathri Periasamy, Consultant Physician at HLC says “Adopting a healthy diet is an essential part of the holistic approach to preventing and reversing type 2 Diabetes”.

In a bid to take on an active role in diabetes prevention, Healthy Life Clinic, a multi-specialty clinic with a reputation as a leading diabetes care provider, announced its collaboration with three top restaurants and food outlets, namely, The Sandwich Factory, The Barnesbury and The Fab to introduce a range of healthy food options.

We dropped by to check out what The Sandwich Factory had to offer. They do have their own range of healthy food but what we wanted to check out was what they had to offer after this partnership with Healthy Life Clinic.

So far what they have come up with is a yummy sandwich called the High Fiber Chicken Sandwich (Rs. 500). The slices of toasted brown bread is thicker than the usual slices we see. The filling has 100g of shredded chicken with cabbage, English cucumber, green peppers, olives and tomatoes. What’s interesting is the dressing which is made of just curd and lime. It’s healthy and delicious. Soon there will be more options added to the menu. They will be introducing one new item each month.

Anusha Ganeshan, a nutritionist and dietician from HLC advices The Sandwich Factory on matters in regard to nutrition, calories and health.
