YouTube Unicorns You Need

If you are like me, you spend a majority of your time online; let’s face it – it’s better than reality. Do you say a quick prayer for the creators of online platforms of amusement? I do! What would I do stuck in traffic for 45 minutes on a daily basis? What would I fall asleep to? Who would I spend my data charges on? What would you do on the weekend? I am guessing that you nodded in agreement there.

So, these blessings come adorned in Superman capes (minus the over-clothes underwear) – a rescue to my boredom; let me introduce you to the virtual Beaus who banish my boredom!

1. Joe Santagato

An extremely good-looking 23-year-old New Yorker, who at present has over 500,000 subscribers; naturally, my intentions are not honourable; I subscribe to him mainly because he is sometimes shirtless in his videos, casually flexing his biceps, as he drops a nonchalant dance move or two.

The ideal time to watch his videos is in late in the night, as he opines on VMA reviews, Caitlyn Jenner and other social media controversies.

Mood: When you need to be distracted by good looks and humour!

Ms. C’s rating – 9/10

2. Brett Cap –

A 27-year-old fitness guru from New Jersey who has over 400,000 subscribers on YouTube talks fitness and healthy living. He demonstrates easy exercises for different levels of fitness, and here's the treat – his well-chiseled abs!

Mood: He is my go-to when I want to stop myself from eating a slice of 'Cookie Monster' cake from The Cakery – does it work? No – but those abs. Sigh.

Ms. C’s rating – 8.5/10 [He lost a few points owing to the unattainable factor]

3. Shane Dawson –

His wit is able to turn a long journey to an affable one – Shane is a 27-year-old television personality who entertains us with Kardashian theories, alien conspiracies, and candid videos of him reacting to different types of food.

With over 13 million subscribers with two YouTube channels, this boy is not about the looks. He is just the boy trapped in my virtual friendzone.

Mood: When you have literally gone through every possible video online and you have ended up watching otter mating rituals.

Ms. C’s rating – 5/10

4. Ryan Higa –

Some don't relate to this 25-year-old, but if you do catch on, there are endless parodies, ‘how-to’ videos, music videos, and collaborations with other YouTubers. With over 16 million subscribers, I am fixated on this boy's teeth. Humour is the main part when it comes to Ryan Higa if a man can make me laugh I solely vest in the belief that he is capable of greater things.

Mood: When you need to laugh of loud.

Ms. C’s rating – 6/10

5. Bart Baker –

If you want controversy, Bark Baker is your man. This 29-year old YouTuber from Chicago Illinois has over 7 million subscribers for his music video parodies. I am guessing that he isn’t a Taylor Swift fan as he takes her down with every music video – I watch his videos when I want justice served; especially when it comes to those celebrities who have it all!

Mood: When you want vengeance served perfectly.

Ms. C’s rating – 7/10

6. BUFF Dudes –

The acronym stands for a ‘better understanding about food and fitness’ featuring brothers Hudson & Brandon White with over 800,000 subscribers. If you are into beards and biceps basically looking like Thor's stunt-doubles, then this is the channel for you. They incorporate a fair amount of humour and self-awareness into their videos hence, they become very likeable.

Mood: Motivation to exercise (my motives can be questioned)

Ms. C’s rating : 8/10

That concludes my list of the virtual men in my life – as you can see, I am kept busy all day long with them.

I know that as I complain about the constant lacking of social media content worth my while, but, these guys are worth the thumping Dialog bills. Give them a follow!
