To Sanduni and Laksri, Misty has always been and will continue to be a member of their family; and she's now older sister to their almost one year old twin boys Seth and Joash. Her quiet presence in their lives has been so monumental that Sanduni claims that she can write an entire book about her beloved Misty with a plethora of pictures of the many cherished moments to go with it.

How did you find your pet? 

A couple gifted her to us. 

What’s the story behind the name you've given? 

We got her on a misty morning so we named her Misty. 

What are meal times and bath times like? 

We give her cat food 3 times a day and we give her a bath on Sundays and a blow dry... she loves it. 

What’s her favourite thing to do? 

She loves to watch me cook. 

What’s the naughtiest thing Misty has done? 

Once she pooped near the washroom carpet. 

How does Misty react when you return home? 

She would stay near the door until I unlock it and then follows me to the kitchen so I could give her some food. 

Does Misty do anything out of the ordinary that fascinates you? 

After we had our twins she was amazed with them and would stay near the cot. One day our boys had woken up and my husband and I were fast asleep. Misty got on to the bed and woke us up. I can never forget that day. 

What’s the best thing about her? 

She's very silent and loves to observe. She's always next to me and will follow me wherever I go and that makes me love her more and care for her more... she doesn't make me feel lonely. Even after I had the kids I make sure I give her some time. 

What was the most unforgettable moment you've shared with Misty? 

When she went missing for 3 days. I was devastated and was searching for her everywhere. Luckily she had been in our neighbours garden the whole time with no food or water.
