Sigmund Freud the widely regarded father of modern psychology once quoted, the complexity of the female psyche often draws a startling contrast against the perceived simplicity of her male counterpart.
It could be safely assumed that a woman herself is often baffled by her own desires; this is in part owing to the sub conscious nature of human motives that fuel desire, on the other hand centuries of social pressure compelling women to exhibit often nonexistent graces have created inhibitive mechanisms that detach them from their instinctual cravings.
Thankfully social research has now identified a list of attractions that may very well constitute a woman’s fantasies. Given below are three primary portrayals of what a woman is looking for in her man!
The free spirited bad boy
More often than not women find themselves in relationships with men who neither have a steady income nor an ounce of worldly grace and even in the face of such adversity the woman finds it difficult to leave this carefree daredevil. Characteristic of this type of guy is the rugged just got out of bed look coupled with the motor cycle and the drinking problem, we all know the type and we all have at one time or another tried to persuade someone out of such a relationship.
Why he’s attractive
The bad boy represents an element of risk and danger that most women appreciate in their lives. The carefree attitude is often seen as deliciously spontaneous and this appeals to the rebel within any woman. Often the unlucky damsel who falls for this guy tries to shape his ways and tame his nature. It isn’t unheard of for these relationships to be abusive by nature and the element of consideration is often missing and is replaced by exciting fast paced romances.
The foreign artist
This is a classic and every girl has been swept off her feet by the mysterious foreign accent and the ambiguous job description. The type includes foreigners, musicians, artists, actors and anything in between. These guys are easily identified by the hordes of admirers and the constant dazed look. Stability isn’t the biggest contributor in these relationships.

Why he’s attractive
Mystery is the primary appeal for women star struck by the artistic type. The artistry directly addresses the sophistication of the female psyche and places these guys on a pedestal far above the rest of the foul mouthed simple minded men in her social circle. These relationships tend to be short lived specially due to the inability of anyone to keep up with the artist’s whacky lifestyle while lack of stability and security is also a major obstacle. While the relationship lasts however it isn’t uncommon for the target of the artist’s adoration to be stifled by romantic over the top gestures that make the rest of us gag, serenading moonlight dinners and long walks on the beach included.
Mr. Nice guy
This is the guy she most often ends up with but most commonly she needs to get the other two types and a few other types out of her system first. The nice guy is exactly what the name suggests stable guy with no particular area of flare but an actual job and a level of consideration that surpasses most other types. Key indicators of a nice guy is the decent car that’s been washed the previous morning, office attire with the shirt tucked in, genuine smile and absolute lack of any fascinating detail in his personality.
Why he’s attractive
Security is the name of this game. After all of the great romantics come to an end the typical woman’s biological clock ticks with alarming intensity. Evolutionarily women need be provided for and bear children. All of modern day feminism has done very little to get in the way of this innate instinct present in every woman that’s where the nice guy fits in. It’s the obvious option and the absolute epitome of security more often than not her friends and parents will welcome the nice guy with open arms and immense relief further solidifying her decision. The down side however is whether she will be satisfied with perfection. Cos like the saying goes perfect is so boring and in the moonlight every woman wants to dance with the stars.
