The Startup Cook - Cakey Chocolatey Chip Cookies
Ever craved for something in between a cake and cookie? Well if you have or you do I suggest you try this awesome recipe. These Cakey Chocolatey Chip Cookies is your rescue treat that caters to your odd yet specific hankering.
Except of course for a couple of steps, this recipe is similar to the method of making a regular cookie. Hence it is an effortless make. Perfect with a cup of coffee or strong cup of tea, these cookies are your ideal tea time snacks. However with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, you got yourself an incredible dessert as well.
Of course the essential taste factor lies in it’s extremely chocolately trait…. Yum.
Ingredients
1 cup of all purpose flour
1/3 cup of cocoa powder
1/3 cup of brown sugar
¼ cup of chocolate chips
6 tbs of butter
1 tsp of vanilla
¼ tsp of baking powder
Directions
Pre heat the oven to 175 Celsius. Prepare a baking sheet and set it aside.
Place the butter in a large bowl, add the sugar to it and cream it together until becomes light and fluffy.
Add the egg in to the mixture with a teaspoon of vanilla in to the mixture and whisk for minute.
Then gently fold in the flour and the baking powder together in to the mixture.
Sift the cocoa powder in to the batter and whisk until all the ingredients have merged well together.
Dump the chocolate chips in and then using your hands knead the mixture in to dough.
Refrigerate the dough for at least an hour.
Take a tablespoon sized measuring spoon, scoop out some cool dough, form the cookie in your hand and (one by one) lay it on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes (Rotate once in between)
Disasters, Warnings and Tips
These are ultra chocolatey cookies. Absolutely heavenly.
Sugar levels are low for this recipe. Do increase if you like your cookies extra sweet.
