Avijja Fonseka has been visiting the wilds of Sri Lanka from an early age and picked up a camera for the first time when he was just 10 years old – beginning a photographic journey that has led to his maiden exhibition: "Palu".

Taking place at the Harold Pieris Gallery at the Lionel Wendt on the 15th, 16th and 17th of December 2022, the unique photographs that will be on display are taken with great precision and attention to detail. One can expect to be transported into the wild itself: witnessing not just the giants of the jungle but also the smallest of creatures, encapsulated in a talented display of artistic photography and naturalistic elements.

The photographs which will be on sale have been handpicked from Avijja Fonseka's collection over the years and focus entirely on the wildlife of Sri Lanka along with scenic captures of the jungle in all its natural beauty.

The distinct pieces that 'Palu' will showcase are guaranteed to bring its patrons into a world of wonder and oneness with the wild.
