Who is more important: your partner's best friend or you?

Ravin - Well it depends.....if you and your partner have been in a long term relationship for sometime like over a 2 years at minimum then I'd say you would be at a point where you are more important...but till then you cant expect your partner to consider his/her best friend to be less of an importance since well...that person is their best friend for a reason..they have probably known each other for years and helped each other at their low points blah blah....so yeah if it's a relationship that just started I'd say your partner's bestfriend gets a higher rank.

Nilu -  Who you prioritize depends on how serious the relationship is to both people involved. If it's a casual relationship, obviously your best friend would matter a whole lot more, and you'd often find yourself asking them for relationship advice etc. But once you get serious and and can contemplate on the relationship moving forward, I guess it's acceptable to prioritize your partner.

Michelle - As for me, my guy doesn't really have a best friend. I am his partner plus his best friend but in general it is your partner who will be important because you will be living with that person someday. However your best friend matters as well because they know you personally and could be the best advisors.

Savindi - I would say 70% - 30% you and the best friend respectively because in the long run even if we concern ourselves too much on it, the 'best friend" is also important for a smooth run. Even if the fellow might not be so important to you he/she could be a great source of strength for your partner and if you always try to get the upper hand in a relationship, there's a high chance of your partner getting fed up of the whole thing. But at the same time you should be careful to not allow the 'best friend' get to have a bigger influence on it than you.

Saraah - I am more important. I may be wrong but I think your partner is someone you're considering as a spouse, in the future - someone you can share your life with. Ideally your best friend and partner can be the same person. If not, it's your best friend's duty to ensure that you don't have to 'choose' between the two. Bottom line, if you had to, your partner comes first because they are your 'partner', your other half.

Badal - For me my best friend is more important than my partner. They know me for a long period of time and will definitely uplift me as a person and they know me much better than anyone else.
