I might be a baby with not much experience under my little diaper belt but I do say that these people who call themselves adults truly do display some strange behaviors. Sorry I get ahead of myself, let me rewind and update you on the scene at hand. I sit in my car seat, strapped in this time Dad didn’t forget, and watch the madness unfold.
Apparently we are in the middle of a wedding, Dad’s brother is engaging in an age old ceremony originating from the times of, druids and wizards, called marriage, where with the exchange of a circular object called a ring (which I would love to put in my mouth) they bind themselves together for life. What madness is this, so if I give that cutie with the two pigtails in daycare my TOMY block set does that mean we are married.
Okay who I am to judge if that is how you want to roll so be it, but instead of quietly doing this exchange in their own cool time, we ALL have to get involved. Sheesh, the audacity of some people. I mean I haven’t seen Mummy since this morning when she went off saying must go get the flower girls dressed and myself of course, and then she comes back in the evening with some serious war paint on, you’d put a Moari warrior to shame Mummy dearest with those layers of makeup..jpg)
Unfortunately with my mother abandoning me I had to spend a tedious afternoon with Dad, where he took control of the T.V remote thus making me miss my Dora the Explorer time. It made me a little grumpy that, I was just going to have a crying session about it, until I was brought into the room of madness.
I use the word madness because every known relative of mine is dressed up in some constricting garments of every shape and color and after thus uncomfortable dressed they decide to further torture themselves by running up and down, occasionally posing for pictures with ‘clown’ smiles. Is this an obstacle race, will there be a winner, I want to take part too.
Amongst the madness someone shouts ‘we’ve lost the cake?”, “how many flowers girls are there supposed to be”,” where’s great aunt shiromi, if she doesn’t come now, no picture okay”, “check the rings again are they there”, “Phew someone change this baby, he’s done a poo poo”. HEY I take offence to that, anyone would poop in their pants with the amount of stress in this room.
So my dear Uncle willing and voluntarily gave away his life all in the exchange for a ring as the newly married couple gazed dewly into their eyes, I heard Mum whisper to Dad ‘aww shall we renew our vows”…WHOOPS Dad you almost dropped me there. Congratulations to Bappa and his new bride Lindsey, hope you are blessed with many babies like me!
