Public display of affection - what do you think?

Oshan - I think it’s really rude of many couples, to do sexual activities in public areas. It’s inappropriate and not civilized, specially around children.

Amali - Well, to a certain degree public displays of affection may not be appropriate for some of us. There are plenty of places for people to share affection, the public is not one of them. It's actually very simple, if you can't do it on front of your parents, don't do it in public. However, a little affection in public is okay. Like holding hands and a quick peck on the cheeks or lips. I myself have experienced as an onlooker and it's pretty disturbing.

Mua’dh - It may elicit a wide range of reactions which may or may not effect the society which, totally depends on the cultural background of the relevant location. I would say it is wise to privatize your affection than to give the modern world critics a chance to humiliate your freedom.

Rakitha - I believe that it’s completely acceptable for a couple to show affection towards one another in public. Exchanging a hug or a kiss goodbye in public should be more conventional because it’s simply a way of expressing love. But couples who show excessive affection in public, although this could be hard to hear me say, I think they should try to restraint themselves from overdoing as much to hear someone shout out “Get a room!".

Michael - PDA. They've never felt love like this, how I wish they would have, then they'd understand. They're hypocrites, how dare they judge? So what if I'm Muslim? So what if she's Sinhalese? Haven't they heard the catchy songs? Isn't love universal? Why would you corner us and stare? Hug me tighter babe, let's fight back.

Dilshan - Well I guess it depends if the society approves, in aspect to society holding hands or hugging a person would seem out of the ordinary but I don't know why that should be a problem. If we care or have feelings for someone why not show it without hiding it and be awkward about it.
