The time to say goodbye to my high heels has come and My Funny Valentine will be the last of the gala shows I will be producing and starring in.

The theme is all about love and what better venue than the romantic Mount Lavinia Hotel. Considering that Lavinia had a love affair with Governor Sir Thomas Maitland in the surroundings will set the perfect ambience for this show.

Cassim, the general manager, has been and is very supportive and has been working with the organizing committee as well as looking into many other details that would add to the evening’s entertainment.

A great dinner that would be followed by the show has been ensured by the Chef-in-Charge of the Hotel.

The show as always will be with fabulous costumes created by the Design Café, the fashion house by Stefan Andre Joachim assisted by Tymoron Cavalho.

Great creative costumes are being designed by the duo and the rest of the team of Design café. The cast will have some new artists as well as some of the all-time favourites.

Harendra, better known as Girlie is already sharpening his tongue, glamorous Lou Ching, Indu, Shohan, Nimal, Danu, and many more.

Anushan Perera and his group of dancers, some hunky body builders, Amanda De Silva, Angela and the golden oldies, a couple of Ms. Sri Lankans,  a lineup of Sri Lanka’s top male models will also be in the cast.

As with all of my previous shows, Ronnie Leach will star in this one too.

Adding to the evening’s entertainment will be entertainer “Sammy,” who will be flying down from Singapore to perform at the show.

Hair and make-up will be handled by Nayana Karunaratne and her efficient team who have been part of this show for the last couple of years.

Connell will be there to help with his magical make up too.

The host for the evening will be Dominic Keller

Leo Burnett Solutions will handle all the Creative, Sujeewa Samarasekara of Shift will be in charge of set design and special effects, Mariza will handle production, whilst Hi Magazine, the Daily mirror and the Sunday Times are the media partners.

The generous sponsors are Fairway Holdings, Hameedias, Alfa Romeo, Spa Ceylon and Bally’s Casino. The show is in aid of the Education Empower Trust.

A fabulous and entertaining evening will be ensured for a fun loving audience.  Tickets are limited. The box plan and tickets will be available at Salon Kess from Monday, 20thJanuary.  The event is on the 15th of February.
