Business owner and student, she currently studies at York University working on two post graduate certificates in Health Informatics and Medical Anthropology. As a business, she designs post-operative, post natal garments and shape wear to be worn under clothes to emphasize curves.

When talking to us about her sense of style, she describes it all in three words; sexy, elegant and effortless.

This week on Street Style, we follow this instagram sensation to catch a glimpse of her favourite styles!

LOOK 1

This outfit is monochrome as it consists of different shades of rust. It is a rust coloured ruffle top, rust coloured midi skirt with Louboutin Beautyk sandals. The top highlights the neckline and the skirt is ankle length. I chose to put my hair up and to leave my curls and baby hair along the side for a more rustic playful look. The makeup I chose for this was a metallic copper lip, smoky eye and overall bronze look.

LOOK 2

This is an olive coloured ribbed midi dress with spaghetti straps and a scoop neck. I chose to pair this with my Louboutin Beautyk sandals that are neutral. What makes this look special is that I combined some armlets from Greece that were sent to me. With its simple design and the gold colour, it was natural to me to do a very dewy makeup look with metallic shades for the eyes and lips and a heavy contour. Considering that we want to focus on the metallic shades in the face as well as the jewellery, I decided to keep the hair simple and keep the hair straight in a bouffant styled updo.

LOOK 3

I’m wearing a sleeveless dress with a tropical floral pattern. I see this dress and I thought "island girl". I paired this with simple two strap nude sandals and left my hair curly. My makeup was natural, dewy/glowy skin, natural lips and a simple winged liner.

LOOK 4

I’m wearing a  simple but elegant saree. I didn't have a blouse for it but I decided to use a black off the shoulder top. A lot of the times I see girls in sarees, they are usually in bright coloured pure silk sarees adorned with beautiful intricate jewellery with heavy hair and makeup which is absolutely stunning. However we often forget how beautiful a woman can be in a simple saree with few accessories and in simple hair and makeup. I wanted to do a casual 90s saree look with a simple printed fawn coloured chiffon saree, fluffy curls and added some gold bangles, a simple red bindi and thin medium sized hoop earrings. As for makeup, just kohl lined eyes and a natural lip topped with gloss. I paired this with of course my favourite sandal - the Louboutin BeautyKs.

LOOK 5

The key to black on black can be really sophisticated and elegant but the key to avoid it from being boring is by adding different textures and mediums. So I’m wearing a black turtle neck crop and a black flared midi skirt. Here we have the glossiness of the skirt, a leather Hermes belt, and Louboutin black spike Pigalle pointed toe heels. I used some simple earrings inspired by Pre-Columbian art, wore a natural lip and a black smokey eye with a simple sleek bouffant due to the turtleneck.

Style Role Model: I do not have one style role model in particular. I have a ton of favourite actresses, singers, and people I look up to in general such as Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City, Selena Quintanilla ranging all the way to Princess Di. They all serve as inspiration for me. Each day, depending on my mood I’m inspired by one of these ladies and I whip up an outfit accordingly and make it personal to me. I love fusing Asian jewellery to western outfits, I love taking outfits I see worn in the 90s and modernizing it with different hair and makeup.

Favourite Colours to Pair: I think my favourite colours to pair are metallic and jewel tones and especially in satin and crust velvet materials they can be stunning. These days I see a lot of people doing neutrals, which can be elegant and beautiful but it’s fun to have some colour incorporated.

Go To Outfit: My go to outfits when I am lazy but still want to look cute are overalls with a loose crop t-shirt under and my hair up with simple dewy makeup can be very cute and playful.

Style Must Have’s?

My heels or my Yeezy boosts.  I love what heels do to my legs and figure, I also love how chic and versatile Yeezys can be.

Make Up Tip: When doing my makeup I prefer a something with light coverage. I love prepping my skin with a thin layer of coconut oil and castor oil mixed together to accentuate my highlight and create a dewy look and then I add some tinted moisturizer.

Fashion No’s: I just don't think socks and sandals are a good idea. I don't like the idea of rules when it comes to fashion as fashion is personal, it's art, it can be abstract and may not be understood by most at times. I’d steer far away from socks and sandals though.

Style Tip: Shape wear! I just love what it does to my posture and for my curves.
