Bold wrist candy is one of fashion's hottest trends right now. Whether costume or real cuff love is everywhere at the moment. Be it big cuffs or slim bracelets stacked, wrists should not be left bare! The great thing about a cuff is that there is no clasp or chain to break and it won’t take you 10 minutes and an extra pair of hands to put on. Simply slide it on and head out the door.

Cuff and bauble bracelets repeat themselves show after show, season after season and it seems that we can never get enough of these timeless pieces. The 2016 shows were replete with cuff and bauble bracelets of different designs and materials, worn alone or in pairs, mixed with other bracelets or braids.

The much lauded house Celine showed an array of bauble bracelets with round or square stones on them, while Chanel’s cuff bracelets are a perennial favourite with fashionistas, designers at Emporia Armani, Elie Saab and Ralph Lauren showed awesome bauble bracelets styled with oversized stones, beaded cuff bracelets and metallic ones with various textures.

My earliest recollection of cuff love was Wonder Woman’s and it seems that designers are taking accessory inspiration from my favourite female superhero-ines and slipping on their ultimate closet staple: the big, bad cuff.

It looks great with everything, plus has crime-fighting powers. Wonder Woman and Xena: Warrior Princess put the wrist ornament to good use when they are deflecting bullets or knives. (Disclaimer: Please don't try to stop bullets with your jewelry.)

Although you probably won't have to battle an army of super-villains (I hope), I still recommend wearing this bold, statement piece to give yourself a bad chic look.
