There is nothing like getting a bit of sympathy when in a tight or uncomfortable situation and the best way to gain such sympathy is by making out to be the victim. This way, be it either a man or woman, they can announce to anyone who is willing to listen about how they are being victimised and then go into great detail about it. There are many who love to listen as this could be a tale that, with some embellishment,  be repeated as a bit of gossip at the next gathering or over the phone. Miss Self-Pity is thrilled once she gets the attention of a few people and will add more and more to her story and will even host a party to lament about her misery; all this, in actual fact, is to slander whoever she is alleging as her victimiser.

This is a clever ploy as Miss Self-Pity is not only gaining the sympathy of a few believers but managing to slander the so called victimiser. Some even go to the extent of using social media to spread their situation, possibly a vicious Facebook attack on her from a false account created by her. Then spreading an email in cohort with an IT expert who is well serviced or looked after by Miss Self-Pity. The cleverer ones even go into producing voice mails or recordings and Miss Self-Pity’s performance is so convincing that the majority get wrapped up with the situation and believe all this jargon and begin to cold shoulder the alleged victimiser.

The saying that the truth prevails comes to light at most times, sometimes sooner and at times very much later, as somewhere along the line Miss Self-Pity’s lies catch up with her.  Even then in her evil heart she is happy as the damage has been done; she rejoices since unhappy and greedy people are never happy within themselves.  

It is the others who should be aware of the wolves in sheep’s clothing and not get dragged into a situation of sympathising with these wolves because it only causes rifts and lots of pain to others and sometimes to oneself.
