She's also quite the nocturnal canine and really is a guard dog that pretends to be one but in reality not so much. She barks at strangers, but pet her once and she'll instantly befriend you!
Pet's details
Name: Jeda Weerakoon
Breed: Doberman
Age: 2 years & 11 months
Owner: Ranisha
What's the significance of the name you've given her?
Jet black gem stone because she was our first dog and also because it had a ring to it that we thought suited her.
What is a typical day like for Jeda?
Having her morning stroll around the garden, eating, getting petted, and waiting for all of us to come back home, getting excited over whatever we do, eating, checking the parameters of the house, getting petted and having a good night's rest for about an hour and staying up all night.
What are mealtimes and bathtimes like?
Mealtimes: VERY EXCITED.
Bathtimes: Not so excited but doesn't make a fuss either, tries to play with the towel when wiping though which gets a bit tiring at times.
Does she do anything out of the ordinary that fascinates you?
YES! Whenever she sees/senses us coming home from far she ALWAYS brings us a gift. It may even a piece of paper lying on the floor. She brings it in her mouth and keeps it with her until we greet her and pet her. She also has a habit of giving her paw (non-stop until we take notice of it) whenever she tries to make friends, get our attention.
What annoys her the most?
Us being stern to her and ignoring her when she needs attention.
What is her most favourite fun time activity?
Anything to do with any of us trying to play with her.
What is the naughtiest thing she has done?
Pee on a carpet that is a little too heavy and too big to wash.
How did you find her?
From a person who sold pups.
What is she most afraid of?
The vet and all of us leaving her alone for a whole day. PS: she's not afraid of crackers!
How does he/she react when you returned home after a long day?
E.X.C.I.T.E.D and as if we're seeing each other after centuries when it was just a couple of hours.
What's makes her the best?
The love she has for all five of us. We see it every time we pet her and play with her. Also every time she looks at us.
What was the most unforgettable moment and you shared with her?
She was down with tick fever and we had never seen her so paralyzed and I sat with her and spoke to her and fed her by hand. That has to be the most unforgettable moment since if she died that day our lives would've never been the same. EVER. Dreading that day.
