As everyone knows life is a bumpy ride, I always believe that we have to fake it until I make it, now I am really happy to say that I do not want to fake about anything anymore, it is simply because I live in my dream, I live in the city of love: Paris doing what I love.”
She is the proud fashion designer who was able to represent Sri Lanka at Cannes Festival in 2017 and 2018.
“I must mention the fact that I was lucky enough to become the best fashion designer at Cannes festival in 2018.”

Tell me about yourself.
I am Enoka Fonseka and I am originally from Negombo, Sri Lanka. Now I live in the city of Love: Paris. I am married to Charminda Kaldera whose father was late Mr.Henri Kaldera. I must mention the fact that I love my father very much and he was the pillar of my success and unfortunately he passed away.
You were born In Sri Lanka and now you are in Paris. How do you think that mixture of experience has inspired your vision?
I believe in one way it has made me very open-minded. I always feel that it has made room for me to be open to all diverse types of people, cultures, food etc. I am always very proud to say that I am from Sri Lanka.
What does it take to have the true taste of fashion designing?
I think that is very subjective.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
I have displayed my recent collection at The 71st International Film Festival Red Carpet in 2018. I had the best record in Cannes last year (2017) and I was lucky enough to walk on the red carpet more than 6 times with my models in 2018 as well. I was able to showcase my recent collection "Dad My Lucky Star", at the Cannes festival both this year and last year (2017).
What do you most enjoy about your job?
Working with colour and fabric will never fail to drive me.
How do you a good balance your family life with your creative vision?
I take every day as it comes and I am very happy to carve my own path.
Do you need people which protect you and love unconditionally?
I think the answer is “yes”I need people around me and I only have few people that I love unconditionally. It is a true notion that it will be impossible to do this kind of thing alone.
What do you think about the choices that young generation make when it comes to fashion?
Just because you are rich and you dress in expensive clothes does not mean that you have a great taste for fashion. I think they have to choose the best attire according to their age, complexion and the size of their bodies.
If you could choose anyone from history ,who would you want to see wearing your designs?
Talia Jimenez, I would say .
Is there a motto you live by?
Fake it until you make it.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I want to be in the first ten top fashion designers in the world.
