The Christmas Carnival is organized by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of BSC and is open to the public. Frosty Fest will feature a range of games and rides, food and drinks, trade stalls, music and entertainment and a House of Horror curated by House of Eventz. “This year we are excited to have virtual reality games like car racing, just dance, cricket and VR consoles for the children along with our carnival games and rides and the House of Horror is bound to be eventful for everyone. Our most thrilling attraction this year that’s already causing a buzz is the photo opportunity with the giant Transformer character Bumble Bee” shared President of the PTA, Trisha Dullu.
The Frosty Fest carnival will also host trade stalls with over 50 vendors selling a diverse range of items and goodies, including festive decorations, clothing, jewellery, food, crafts, stationery, books, cosmetics etc. Vendors include artisan ice cream brand La Crème Ceylon and organic bees honey brand Ru Bees, craft brands Isle of Ratta, Baubbles & Co., Rice & Carry and Deola Venture as well as Artisan Bake for gingerbread house activities and 3D cookies and many more.
Food stalls from a wide array of cuisines ranging from Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Indian, Korean, Thai to name a few are also expected. “Because the PTA is represented by a broad spectrum of communities, we also wanted our food culture at the carnival to reflect that. We have food and drinks from many cuisines so there is something for everyone.”
Entertainment at the carnival will include performances by the students of the British School and music by an inhouse student DJ.
“The British School in Colombo offers a broad curriculum that is reflective of the support we extend to our students beyond academics. The carnival is a fantastic platform for their talents and we are all looking forward to it” said Mrs Hannah Wells - Principal BSC, adding that though the carnival is an annual event of the school, due to the pandemic it could not be held for 3 years and that the students are eagerly looking forward to Frosty Fest this December.
The Frosty Fest carnival entrance ticket priced at Rs. 1000 is inclusive of eligibility for the coveted raffle draw which offers airline tickets from Sri Lankan Airlines, hotel stays at Jetwing Hotel and Mahaweli Reach Hotel and gift vouchers and hampers from Bullion Exchange Jewellers, Spa Ceylon, Child Eye Care, Dinemore, Vitawell, Navya, Nourbouy and more.
