Colombo Fashion Week (CFW) is a much-awaited event in the fashion calendar of Sri Lanka. Initiated with the aim of empowering local designers, sustainability is at the core of the CFW brand. The brand inspired many designers to not only let their creativity go wild but also produce ethical, sustainable pieces of work. This season, CFW Swim Week Colombo brings together four creative industries namely Art, Fashion, Food and Music to host a week-long creative festival titled “Celebrate Colombo” presented by So Sri Lanka,  Sri Lanka Tourism and Promotion Bureau (SLTPB). Celebrate Colombo is a week of creativity anchored on the Swim and Resort season now in its 5th year.

For those who have been following CFW and Celebrate Colombo, you know it to be a week-long celebration of fashion design, music and food. Therefore, the ‘Celebrate Colombo’ Food Festival will particularly open its doors to all food lovers to drop in and have a good time. All guests can not only witness some high-end fashion but also indulge in a range of delicacies. Partnering to make this concept a success is Coca-Cola, a household brand among all Sri Lankans. In fact, Coca-Cola strongly believes that food maybe the only universal experience that has the power to bring people together, irrespective of cultures. Everywhere around the world, people get together, to eat.

1. Competition for the Restaurants  

In order to spice up the event, three restaurants including Chambers, Monsoon and Café Français will compete with one another to create a signature dish that would pair best with a Coke. Apart from the restaurant grabbing a prize, Instagram followers also have a chance of following the Coca-Cola SL Instagram page (@cocacola_sl) and voting for their favourite dish.

2. Competition for the Gram

Apart from that, Instagrammers are also invited to click a picture of their favourite dish of the day with the Coke photo frame, tagging @cocacola_sl with the hashtags #CokeWithFood and #CelebrateColomboWithFood to stand a chance to win yet another prize before the end of the week-long event. Your favourite Instagram Influencers will also take a stand to Celebrate Colombo on their channels and follow #celebratecolombo, #colombofashionweek and http://@colombofashionweek to stay tuned for latest updates on the event.
 

Conversely, you can quench your thirst with Coca-Cola to make things better while Celebrating Colombo. The ‘Celebrate Colombo’ Food Festival will be held from August 3 - August 10, 2019 at Park Street Mews, Botanik, Shangri-La Hotel Colombo, Hilton Colombo, Galle Face Hotel, Taj Samudra, Dutch Hospital, and Movenpick Hotel.
