There are creative souls, and then there are people who assume they have creativity seeping out of every orifice in their body. Somewhere in the middle, there are people like me - who just can't be bothered, or others who are creatively challenged and - thankfully - know it. But for the rest of the creative - and wannabe creative - beings populating the world, there’s Pinterest, “a place to discover ideas for all your projects and interests, handpicked by people like you." A place where talented people show off their enviable DIY skills, among many others.

It is safe to say that Pinterest is an awe-inspiring source for creative people. It makes you believe that that complicated yet totally funky hairstyle is a walk in the park to replicate. Easy as pie. And really, you should know better. But alas, you don't. Because Pinterest has lulled you into a false sense of bravado, and you’re ready to take on the “challenge”.  Many hair-tearing, cuss-filled episodes later, you’re resigned to the reality that the “hairstyle” looks somewhat similar to its Pinterest counterpart. The rest of us though, see it as a hot mess. And that's being generous.

Here are some colossal Pinterest fails varying from grotesque to depressing to downright pathetic.

1. This cookie monstrous disaster!

2. The literal cookie monster.

3. Yoga? I got this! Wait... nope.

4. At least it's still Halloween worthy. Right?

5. Babies. Don't. Like. Wearing. Pumpkin.

6. Clearly, she nailed it.

7. No. Just no.

8. A for effort?

9. This pepper eggs disaster.

10. We all love cake but, this ain't no cake!!
