V Day 2014 – The Elephant in the Room

On April Fool’s Day 2014 The Grassrooted Trust presents the third installment of V Day: Writings to end violence against women and girls.

This year too, the original scripts in Tamil, Sinhala and English are based on the work of Grassrooted with marginalized women who have survived violence in Sri Lanka.

The Tamil and Sinhala performance pieces will include live subtitles so that those who don’t understand Sinhala and Tamil may still enjoy the nuanced performances.

V Day 2014 – The Elephant in the Room - directed by theatre veteran Jith Pieris and Grassrooted’s Hans Billimoria, with a stellar cast of English, Sinhala and Tamil actors will be performed on Tuesday April 1st (April Fool’s day) at 7.30pm at the Barefoot Gallery Café,Colombo 3.
