We have seen numerous re-creations of the Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, most of which left us disappointed and unsatisfied.
Not to mention the 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot which was under the direction of Director Jonathan Liebesman and producer Michael Bay, which did pretty well at the box office but was critically acclaimed due to a lot of notable faults in the story line, but that story is old now.
Earlier this week Paramount decided to release the full trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, and oh, boy was I hyped up for this!
This is my review for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows Trailer.
1) Dimension X and General Krang
The first thing I see is an opening in the sky, and I think to myself, is this the Avengers, what is going on here? And then ships come out of the opening, and I’m like, wait, Is this Pixels? This portal opening in the sky which appears to be an obvious Dimension X and General Krang teaser. If this is true then there’s a lot to geek out about this movie.
The Turtles: New & Improved
AND THEN THE TURTLES SHOW UP! And I’m a 100% sure they’ve fiddled around with the turtles, they’re more colorful, less creepy and look more turtle-like and not to mention the fact that they’re wearing pants which a good thing is.
Casey Jones
We have a Casey Jones, but sadly it’s Stephen Amell. I’m like, Arrow what are you doing here? I don’t think I’m going to get over the fact that Casey Jones has short hair. It’s just not right. We’ll be seeing a lot of the foot clan too, and for those who don’t know the foot clan they are Shredder’s minions.
Shredder: Oruku Saki or a new character?
Speaking of Shredder, William Fitchner who played Eric Sacks in the first movie wasn’t technically Shredder, he worked for the Real Shredder. We still got to see Brain Tee with a Shredder’s amour, could he be Oruku Saki? I’m just assuming, I guess we’ll have to wait till the movie is out.
Bebop and Rocksteady
We cannot forget which part of the trailer gave me the most joy, God bless Paramount for bringing back the fan-favorite dim-witted duo Bebop(Right) and Rocksteady(Left), We are seeing Bebop and Rocksteady for the first time on the silver screen and they brought me to tears.
On an overall view this movie could be the TMNT movie the fans have been waiting for, or it could be those movies that look really good in the trailer but makes you question your sanity when you watch it, I’ll never know till I get to watch the movie first hand.
