The Wait Is Almost Over – Finals of TNL Onstage Season 13

With just days left to go, the hype about the Finals of TNL Onstage is building up and it’s contagious! With contestants all out to bag the big titles this time around, they’re not the only ones sweating it out to make Friday 26th a day of success.
A number of mentors, trainers and a dedicated team who are bent on ensuring everything goes off well at the Viharamahadevi Amphitheatre are putting in more effort than you might think to lay out the deserving platform for local artists.
What’s in store at the Finals?
The competition has finally boiled down to ten finalists, and the intensity levels have shot right up. With training sessions, consultations with the mentors, practices, photoshoots, video shoots, recordings and interviews filling up their schedules, the finalists have one plan in mind: win Onstage Season 13. Here’s the line up of Finalists.
Bands: Area 51, Symphony Experiment X-rays, Audacity, Mash and Thoughtless
Soloists: Gyles, Chithru, Nathan, Viroshan and Rochelle
TNL SpinOff in its inaugural session this year, will feature the two Djs Rami (Ramindu Ranasinghe) and Electro Mechanic (Ravi Perera) at the Finals. SpinOff has been launched as an after party concept to Onstage, which provides a platform for the growing number of DJs as Onstage does for vocalists and bands.
The finals will feature Thilak Dias, Kamal Perera, Andrew Obeysekera (of Stigmata), and Harshan Gallage (of Thriloka) who make up the ‘Superband’. Last year they did a guest performance and crowds raved and they are back this time by popular demand! They’ve got a great classic rock guest performance lined up for the finals, so look out for that.
Also expect performances by the backing band for Season 13, Willie's Jeep and the winners of TNL Onstage 2012 Magicians Toolbox and Melissa Pereira.
