Set to revolutionise the modelling industry

In a bold move to harness Sri Lanka’s bourgeoning modelling talent, charismatic Anjuli Flamer Caldera has launched The Agency Sri Lanka. A progressive model management agency that discovers, nurtures and showcases Sri Lankan talent, globally. The agency offers models life changing career opportunities by partnering with reputed agencies around the world to ensure focused, international exposure.

Explaining the concept of the agency Anjuli says “being a multipurpose professional modelling agency which aims to formalise the modelling industry, the agency is structured to offer services that range from modelling, styling, hair and make up artists to photographers. The agency has tied up with influential modelling agencies, stylists and photographers to bring international talent to Sri Lanka to enforce and uplift the quality of photoshoots and editorial content. In addition the agency will be a one stop shop providing talent management. Formalising the modelling industry will benefit all modelling agencies in Sri Lanka and we plan to work in tandem with them to align and cultivate talent on a global scale.”

“The Agency will also formally represent models from India, Europe, US and Australia. Undoubtedly The Agency’s prized signing in Adam Flamer Caldera who is taking the US model world by storm. Adam who kicked off his modelling career in Sri Lanka is currently signed with Ford Models in North America. He has walked for international fashion designers and brands for New York Fashion Week and has modelled for designers such as Brucello Cucinelli, Greg Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana, Mossimo Gant, Nautica, Calvin Klein to name a few. Those interested can apply online and we also have a team of agency scouts scouring the country in search of promising candidates. Selected applicants will face and compete in real life industry challenges and assignments. This journey will unfold online as a reality series. The top contender identified as ‘the next gen’ will be signed by The Agency, have their portfolio shot by a leading fashion photographer, walk for Colombo Fashion Week SS 17, receive a cash start up model fund and secure a job assignment and training in India”.

Speaking to Anjuli, it is evident that The Agency is her passion and through the agency she is also keen to change the perception people have about the modelling industry and encourage more people to take to this as a profession.
