Whether you grew up listening to classical music, jazz or good ol’ rock & roll, everyone loves the sound of an awesome guitar performance. We've all played our air guitar to imaginary crowds, wishing we played like our musical heroes.

And now, thanks to the hard work of the Rotoract Club, we are one step closer to those dreams.

Strings & Vibes, organized by the Rotaract Club of Cinnamon Gardens, is a guitar workshop aimed at giving anyone interested in learning guitar the chance to learn for free.

And you’re guaranteed to learn from the best, as noted guitarists, Derek Wickramanayake, and the Dhas brothers- Arjun and Vije Dhas, are keen on sharing their passion for this instrument with others.

Whether you’re a total beginner or already have some technical proficiency, the work shop will be a great place to not only advance your skill but, to meet and catch up with other guitar enthusiasts.

For those who have not played guitar before, this is the perfect place to start!

Strings & Vibes will take place from 9:00am - 1:00pm on Saturday the 18th at the Professor VK Samaranayake Auditorium, University of Colombo School of Computing.
