views 2145Sinethi Akilaa makes her dream debut in ‘Siri Perakum’
Sinethi Akilaa is a young passionate arts lover who makes her debut as a film actress in Somaratne Dissanayake’s newest film ‘Siri Perakum’ in which she plays Kalu Ethana.
Sinethi who acted in school plays at Bandaranayake national school, Panduwasnuwara, also acted in ITN’s Sellam Gedara and dubbed for Lama Pitiya radio programmes.
“I was chosen for Siri Perakum after several rounds of auditions involving hundreds of aspirants. The feedback so far has been wonderful. The film itself was an education for me. I am so grateful to director Somaratne Dissanayake, producer Renuka Balasuriya and senior co-stars Bimal Jayakody, Jayani Senanayake and Chandani Seneviratne, in addition to fellow debutants Akila and Sineli,” said Sinethi whose ambition is to become a good journalist someday.
“I can sing and dance too, thanks to my mother. I want to learn the art of acting and dancing professionally before getting involved in them,” she said adding that she would consider film or tele drama offers depending on the characters.
