The month of December holds a tremendous amount of mesmerizing excitement, where the Sri Lankan underground rock and metal revolution of the Hill Capital will unite as one and resurface once again to present you “Silent Scream 2012”.

A night of cataclysmic chaos, this year’s Silent Scream gig will be organized, as always, by the only organization in Sri Lanka stable since 2003 which has been dedicated to support the original music produced by the comrades of the Hill Capital, Kandy Rock Merger.

Silent Scream was an annual gig which has been held for five consecutive years since its first success on 25th December 2003. It was initially held under the name of “Rock Christmas” and it then continued its journey of bringing the original music produced in the Hill Capital into the limelight under the name “Silent Scream”.

At the commencement of Silent Scream it comprised of some of the most successful metal bands of the Sri Lankan underground metal community, such as Darqu, Raven 6, Wolf Pack and Forlorn Hope. After the silent period of KRM from year 2007 till recent times, the KRM went on to recruit more comrades of the Kandy rock and metal community and by the year 2011 KRM has become a vast brotherhood of true believers of metal such as bands like Forlorn Hope, Forsaken, Pariah Demise, Infernal, Old Castles Massacre, Falcon cry, Necro Horde, Obsidius, Necrosis, Cremetoria and Crestfallen.

Some of the comrades of the brotherhood such as Pariah Demise, Infernal and Forsaken gave Silent Scream a brand new twist at Silent Scream 2011 and this coming December Silent Scream returns to you with music that has been molded into perfection over the years with utmost heartfelt dedication to the underground rock and metal community of Sri Lanka.

Kandy Rock Merger organization was founded in the glorious year of 2003 as the new wave of rock and metal revolution of the Hill Capital, Kandy, established with the soul intention of uniting the rock and metal community in Kandy. KRM is geared with the committee headed by Chamil Ekanayake as the president of KRM, who is also the frontman of the Kandian Black metal band Pariah Demise.

The Kandy Rock Merger remains the longest remaining organization of Sri Lanka which continues to fulfill the aims of passing on the originality of the music they produce to the generations to come. The spirit of the KRM remains owing to the true believers that still exist within the metal community of Sri Lanka which being the reason that the KRM will never cease to exist.

The lineup for Silent Scream 2012 held this December 22nd will consist of some of the most reputed bands in the underground metal community of Sri Lanka, such as Paranoid Earthling, Forsaken, Pariah Demise, Manifestator , Necro Horde, Ancient Curse, Cremetoria, Crestfallen and Goatmunition. It will be held at Sampath Hall in Kandy. Tickets will be priced at 400/= and will be sold at the gate.
