Scarlett Johansson expecting first child with French fiance: report

Actress Scarlett Johansson is reportedly expecting her first child with fiance Romain Dauriac.

Rumours of the pregnancy comes just six months after the actress became engaged to the French journalist.

E!News reports that the couple, who first announced their romance in 2012, are expecting their first child in August.

The news has been confirmed by "a number of different sources" according to E!News, and the agency points to interviews with Johansson in which she has spoken about her desire to have a family.

“I would like to have my own family, that would be nice,” Johansson told the Daily Mail in December last year.

“They say it's never the right time and I am sure that's true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else. At some point it's something I look forward to.”

If the pregnancy rumours are true, it is fairly certain the wedding won't be fast-tracked just for the baby.

The star told Good Morning America recently that the wedding is far from her mind at the moment.

“I'm not doing any wedding planning,” Johansson said during her appearance on the show.

This will be Johansson's second marriage, after her marriage to actor Ryan Reynolds ended in 2011.
