Sanath Desh Mahathanthirige in collaboration with leading Sri Lankan Choreographers Naomi Rajaratnam and Kevin Nugara, present RHYTHM by Rythemics, the extravagant floor show and dinner dance on 23rd of August 2013 at Golden Rose Entertainment centre in Boralesgamuwa.
A leading teacher of ballroom dance in Australia, Sanath and his wife Deike Knoeller are the proud owners of one of Melbourne's leading dance studios “Rythemics School of Dance”.
After teaching for the last 15 years, Sanath’s dream of conducting a dance show in Colombo is finally coming true. Collaborating with his very own Sri Lankan dance teacher Naomi Rajaratnam and leading ballroom dancer and teacher Kevin Nugara, the show is set to be a performance to remember.
“I started my ballroom dancing in 1992 under Mertle Perera and later took up competition dancing under one of Sri Lanka’s well respected leading ballroom instructors Naomi Rajaratnam. I left Sri Lanka In 1998 and completed my teaching qualification in Australia.
I started my initial dancing and choreography for “Arthur Murray” dance studios, the world largest ballroom dancing chain, and was soon ranked number one dance teacher in the world within the ‘Arthur Murray” franchises in 1999. Then in 2002, I started my own dance school with my wife Deike Knoeller in Melbourne, the “Rythemics school of dance”. Since then I have helped trained numerous dancers and also teachers to become their best in ballroom dancing.” Said Sanath.
The floor show is comprised of professional dance teachers and amateur dancers that are currently trained at Rythemics School of dance in Melbourne. These performances are comprised of 27 different dance items and half are choreographed and directed by Sanath while the remainder by Naomi Rajaratnam and Kevin Nugara.
The dance items comprise of popular dance styles such as Rumba, Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Jive, Paso Doble, Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot and many more.

Jan 10, 2014 at 12:00 amUPDATE: Desh and Deike bought a flourishing business called Lets Go Dance in December 2012 and by September 2013 had stripped it of all goodwill and tangible assets, even taking money from students the day before they closed the doors. In November 2013 they both filed for bankruptcy, owing staff over AUD$26,000 in wages, the previous owners for than AUD$177,000 and students more than AUD$36,000.
