Moksha’s ‘Abhee’ adds colour

Renowned dance choreographer, trainer and lecturer Moksha Samarasooriya choreographed her newest dance concert titled ‘Abhee’ at the Ananda College, Kularatne Hall recently.

Moksha who received her Kathak dance training at Bhatkhande College of Hindustani Music Govt. of U.P, Lucknow, India, said this programme featuring senior students of her Moksha Art of dance Academy, was an innovative attempt focusing on cinema dancing.

Abhee gave a brief insight into the many moods of Sri Lankan cinema dancing while providing a greater understanding of the unique role that Kathak dance form can play in Sri Lankan cinema.
