Manisha Koirala, who has won the hearts of the audiences with her performance in films like 1942 LOVE STORY, has finally won her battle against cancer after undergoing six months of treatment in the United States.
Releasing a statement on social networking site, the actress said she is cancer free now.
''I burst out crying when I heard 'cancer free' I still have a long way to go in regaining my health, slowly and steadily. With your prayers and blessings I received during this phase I am sure that day too will come!!,'' the actress wrote.
Koirala was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year after which she went to New York for her treatment.
She also thanked her fans for their supports that helped her fight the life killing disease and take a rebirth.
''In gratitude for the compassion I saw, felt by so many...my old and new friends, my family, my cancer club members who inspired me with their spirit, my amma bhagwan n oneness family n you all my friends it's your unyielding love that helped me!! I call this as my 'rebirth' ...''
