It aims to be a multi-faceted lifestyle event, creating an atmosphere in which the richly woven culture and spirit of the jazz and blues genres can be showcased through not only a musical aspect but also by placing into context the elements surrounding the movement through food, wine, champagne and through the medium of art and design.

These components will make up the ‘Feastival’, a dimension of the festival in which there will be a multitude of activities and events focusing on specialty foods and wine tastings all of which will be set against the backdrop of the ocean and the open air stage on which the musicians will continue to work their magic, creating an artistic haven of sorts for both jazz enthusiasts and festival goers alike.
The event seeks to utilize the Jazz and Blues Festival to promote Sri Lanka as one of the world’s top tourist destinations, as one with an elaborate and dynamic heritage. The festival, the first of its kind in Sri Lanka, follows Mainstage Events’ other successful shows which include The Wailers, Mohombi Live, High on Heels and Julian Marley. As the inaugural event in what is to be an annual festival, it is not an experience to be missed!
