'She's my cup of tea': Bryan Adams' partner gives birth to second daughter... who they name after cockney rhyming slang term
Bryan Adams and partner Alicia Grimaldi have welcomed their second daughter into the world. And the couple decided on a very unusual name for the youngster, who was born in London earlier this week.
The pair decided on Lula RosyLea, choosing RosyLea after the cockney rhyming slang term for 'cup of tea'. Brian's representative confirmed: 'Bryan Adams and Alicia Grimaldi welcomed their second baby girl in London earlier this week.'
Bryan explained the unusual choice of name as he announced the happy news on his Facebook page on Thursday. He wrote: 'My second daughter Lula RosyLea arrived at tea time this week. The name Lula comes from Gene Vincent‘s 1958 song ‘Be-Bop-A-Lula and Rosylea is a play on the expression 'a rosie lee' which is cockney rhyming slang in London for ‘a cup of tea’.'
The doting father sweetly added: 'She was born in London and... she's my cup of tea.'
The couple are sticking to a trend in naming their children - they also called their first daughter after the time she was born, choosing 'Bunny' because she was born over Easter.
At the time the musician said: 'I'm really proud to announce on 22 April, Mirabella Bunny was born. Mother and baby are both well and happy. Thanks in advance for your kind thoughts and wishes.
'She arrived like all good Easter bunnies on Easter Friday.'
Alicia is one of the trustees of the rock star turned photographer's charity, the Bryan Adams Foundation. The pair are believed to be living together in London.
