“British Comedy Showcase” Charity Dinner - Theatre 

“Stand-up comedy - Sit-down dinner!” is the witty tag following the dinner theatre that will feature a slew of British comedians. And presented by Sirens. It’s being held In aid of the National Council for Deaf (NCD), which is a pre-school for deaf children. The unique event will feature the British comedians Brian Higgins, Danny Slim Gray, Jo Jo Smith and Mr. Cee. A delectable four course dinner awaits you as well!

Brian Higgins, a Scottish ginger, likes to spin stories about the ups and down of life, drawing mainly on himself, Scottish people, religion and drinking. His one man show at the Edinburgh Festival received swell reviews.

Danny Slim Gray is coming to Colombo after a ton of successful shows, He was the first Black British comedian to perform at the world famous Hollywood Comedy Store. He has toured Europe and America and even performed at the N.A.T.O headquarters in Belgium by special request!

Jo Jo Smith has performed all around the world, in places such as South Africa, China, The Middle East, Indonesia and Australia. She’s also worked with Comic Relief and appeared at the London Palladium. “Rollicking” “A manic force, leading where males fear to tread” and “raunchy… very funny” are some of the reviews she has got over the years – very interesting indeed!

Mr.Cee has done warm ups for BBC1’s ‘Blouses & Skirts’ and has won ‘Best Male Newcomer’ at the 2000 Black Comedy Entertainment Awards. He has just come off an extremely humorous UK tour, and regularly performs at ‘The Comedy Store’, ‘Highlight’ and ‘Lol’.

EvSirens is the Sri Lankan subsidiary of Cosmic Entertainments - a UK based entertainment company - www.cosmic.uk.com - which has been organising large-scale events in the UK and Europe and in Sri Lanka since 1994.
