Today on #SupportingTalent on Buzz with Danu, I feature a face well known in the fashion world, who has graced many runways with his years of experience, and took it further with his own brand called “P.Cock” which is all about a colourful approach to beach wear, with many international titles under his belt, he is on a high with all his achievements. Today he speaks more on what’s next in his life.

Tell me all your achievements so far, since you started your career in the world of fashion. 

I feel proud about where I am today in life. I have worked as a commercial model for many leading brands in Sri Lanka, being a ramp model I have worked with almost all the shows. And a few international assignments such as music videos, fashion shows and photo shoots with international photographers, but not forgetting our own local photographers. And soon I'll be in a movie. 

As a model I won the Most Popular Contestant at the Mister Global 2014 pageant held in Thailand, won the Best Model award at the Asia Model Festival Awards in 2013 in Korea, was the second runner-up at the Mr. Sri Lanka for Mister International in 2012 and won the Mr. Photogenic mini title at the same pageant. 

Tell us a little bit about your work ethic. How do you prepare for your assignments for the ramp? 

As a model, being prepared is something very important as we need to look good and have to maintain ourselves at anytime, and we never know when we will be called for a show, shoot or video shoot. So I do regular workouts for a fit body and of course for the outer appearance. 

Tell us something interesting about yourself. 

The unseen Sameera is a very caring and humble person. I like enjoying life, to travel and meet new people. Deep down inside I’m a relaxed and self motivating positive person. I don’t fall down easily and even if I do I recover very easily. Most importantly I see myself as a mentally prepared and strong person who has a good view about winning and losing. I never regret anything in life and whatever it is I like enjoying it whether it is good or bad. 

Apart from that I am a very good cook and I can cook any food any time of day. I am usually praised for my skills in cooking. Also I like to organize house parties, and cook for my friends and family and treat them well. 

What made you become a model? 

I have the right attitude, experience, looks and good environment to be a successful model. Although I have only had a brief stint in modelling, I am all set to work at random schedules and offbeat work hours. It's hard to be a successful model. And I'm happy I'm there now. 

What do you hope to do next? 

I have many plans for my future as I started my very own 'P:Cock' clothing line and 'JUMP' clothing store, my very own modelling agency and academy 'Adam & Eve'. Next year I will be opening my coffee shop and hopefully open up my restaurant in the near future. 

How has it been to train and run a school to create new models? 

For me, it's something more than just about earning money. I always gave them my experience to achieve their goal as a model and become successful. It's all about identifying young talent and it helps improve their confidence level.

Kumar Sangakkara. 

Your personal favourite model? 

Mariano Di Vaio is my favourite international model.

If you could have one super human power, what would it be? 

I would be invisible. 

What is in the trunk of your car right now? 

It's always kept clean, but sometimes there are shoes.

I have my classes on that day, so it's always a busy start.

I got a portrait of me! It was perfect, and it was given by a friend of mine.
