Imaadh Dole as Inspector Fix
“If I’m the one to catch him then my future is made!”
Inspector Fix is on a mission! The Bank of England has been robbed and he finds it awfully convenient that Phileas Fogg just wagered twenty thousand pounds away. Coincidence? He thinks not!
We speak to the Inspector about his suspicions;
Exactly why do you suspect Fogg?
Well, I’ve been in this field for the past 20-30 years as a detective and while I haven’t had the best luck with all my suspects I’m fairly certain that I’m right this time around! Why, it’s absurd! He wages twenty thousand pounds and it just so happens that the bank of England was robbed? Ha! I don’t plan to let him get away.
What is it about Fogg that annoys you so much?
I’ve always had a thing against these rich folks. They shouldn’t call all the shots. We protect them and in turn they rob us blind. I just hate the way Fogg carries himself and how he flaunts his money! He thinks he can use it to get out of anything like it’s his own personal Get Out of Jail Free card. And the fact that he’s so punctual annoys me! It’s inhumane. He’s always on time.
What makes you think you’re a good detective?
Well, I have a lot of experience in this field! Plus I have perseverance and I trust my gut and it’s always right. That’s why I can say with 100% confidence that it’s Fogg who robbed the Bank of England!
Hidaayath Hazeera as Passpertout
“I’ve been a singer, a horse rider, a trapeze artist, a tightrope walker and a shepherd”
Frenchman Passpertout is a bit of an adventurist. He’s been a part of the circus and considers himself to be a jack of all trades. Except now he’s well and done with adventures and wants to settle in to a quiet life. What better than to be valet to Fogg who everyone knows is not an adventurist? Until the wager, that is.
How would you describe yourself?
Well, that’s easy. I’d say I’m a Parisian through and through!
What made you leave your exciting life and become a valet?
Well, I heard that Fogg is not very outgoing and very precise. I mean if you need your tea at exactly 97 degrees then of course he’s not the type to go off on a whim. I’m tired of my adventure days so I thought being valet to Fogg is the perfect job because there is no way he would go off on an adventure!
So how shocked were you when he took on the wager?
I couldn’t believe him! I mean only midway through our journey only I realized he was actually being serious. I must say I wasn’t awfully put out by it. A part of me craves for adventure while another part of me just doesn’t want to be out and about.

Vinsara Jayalath as Phileas Fogg
“I’ve travelled the world but I’ve not yet seen it”
Fogg is a man who relies on precision. He enjoys his life in a sequential order and he is always precisely on time. He never takes his game of whist lightly! And now he has been challenged. He’s been told that he can’t possibly travel around the world in 80 days. Fogg is never the man to back down from a bet so off he goes – on an adventure to prove them wrong and win himself a fortune of twenty thousand pounds!
What made you wager twenty thousand pounds on a rather impossible mission?
Why! As a proud noble Englishmen, a good bet is hard to turn down.
How confident are you of your ability to win this wager?
This journey can be completed with mathematical precision as it is fact and not fiction. Thus I am very confident. I’d win this wager in no time!
You’ve been accused of robbing the Bank of England. What do you have to say to these accusations?
A true Englishmen is never fazed by false accusations. Clearly there has been a misunderstanding.
Rivi Wijesekera as Audoa
“I am humbled by your generosity”
Audoa is in bit of a fix. Born into a wealthy family and married off to a wealthy man, her luck began to change drastically. And now, she’s about to be sacrificed! But Fogg comes to her rescue and she too becomes a part of their wild adventure.
How did it feel to get rescued?
Oh I was super surprised! I’m so grateful to Mr. Fogg.
Well, that’s interesting. What exactly do you feel about Mr. Fogg?
Well… like I said, I’m very grateful to Mr. Fogg for rescuing me. He and I just had this instant connection!
How does it feel to be involved in Fogg's mad mission to travel the world in 80 days?
It truly is bizarre to have been cooped up in India one moment and then to embark upon a journey 'around the world'. Two opposite ends of the spectrum. Mr. Fogg seemed a bit eccentric at first being devoid of emotion but all he needs is someone to break down those walls and help him experience the joys and beauty of life.
