With her finger firmly on the fashion pulse, Thushen Wimalaratne's hobby is collecting shoes in addition to perfumes and candles. Exercise, music and watching cartoons are also her pastimes. She also likes globetrotting, shopping and trying out different cuisines. One thing she does not like are shady people. Thushen is a combination of beauty and brains having once scored 140 in an IQ test. Today on Checking Out, Thushen recounts her travel experiences. 

Favourite travel destination? 

London, because of the diversity, shopping, food, art and music scene. 

What do you never travel without? 

Hand sanitizer, sunglasses and flip-flops. 

Favourite cuisine? 

Japanese. 

Top travel tip? 

Don't plan too much, being spontaneous is the key. 

Where would you go if you could live in any other country than Sri Lanka? 

The United Kingdom. 

Where did you last go on holiday? 

Singapore. 

What destination is on your hitlist and why? 

Greece, as I want to catch the best sunsets and the beaches. 

Next big adventure? 

Tomorrowland  in Belgium.

It depends. I go to an agent if it is a tour. 

What do you enjoying doing most while on holiday? 

Shopping and dining.

Galle, London, Paris, Las Vegas and Italy.

My close friends.

Road trip, as it is adventurous, and you can always expect the unexpected.
