Vivacious Dilu, an interior designer is blessed with an ebullient nature. She likes travelling , listening to gospel music and shopping, and that’s when she is not spending time with her family. A mum of three, Dilu confesses that she will not go out anywhere without her MAC lipstick even while on holiday!
Why do you like travel?
Whether it’s the mosaic of landscapes, or the hustle and bustle of big cities, travelling is an experience like no other. Exploring cultural diversity, trying out new food, meeting friendly people and most importantly - diverging from my everyday life increases my desire to travel.
How does travel inspire you?
To travel is to live. There is a kind of magic about going to somewhere new and coming back all changed. The experience through wanderlust inspires me to keep going somewhere new, because there is always something more to discover!
Your favourite travel destination and why?
Bali. It is one of THE most romantic destinations in the world. The beautiful beaches of Semniyak, or even the culture and spirit of Bali’s heartland - Ubud, makes me feel like I’m in a place of serenity.
Top tip for your favourite travel destination?
Don’t forget to return home without experiencing a typical Balinese massage - the perfect way to end a breathtaking holiday in Bali.
What do you need for a perfect holiday?
Comfortable and spacious accommodation, great cuisine, a camera to take lots of photographs and of course my husband and three children!
Most unusual souvenir you have bought?
When I visited Maasai Mara in Kenya, a wide range of ostrich eggs at the tourists’ shop caught my attention. Having a variety of souvenirs, from Venetian glass, to edible gold dust - the ostrich egg is definitely the most unusual souvenir I ever set my eyes on!
Best piece of travel advice?
Travel light, try out local cuisines, engage and interact with locals and fellow travellers, get out of your comfort zone and most importantly allow yourself to embrace and enjoy the wonders of travelling.

Venice, Paris, Udaipur (India), Obertauern (Ski Village in Austria) and Bali.
What has travel taught you?
Life is an adventure. When you travel, you are not held back by social limitations. You make your own decisions and you explore the world outside your country. So, don't miss an opportunity to meet new people, try new things, make new friends and be thankful to God for His creation. Travel has also given me the joy of making wonderful memories with my family.
Which country did you taste the best ever cuisine?
At the tented camp "Finch Hatton" in Tsavo, Kenya.
