Here are some acts you just wouldn’t want to miss out on at FGLF! 
 
 
· Saturday 16th - Literary Dinner - The Maharajah’s and Maharani’s Feast by chef MEERA SODHA featuring AMITAV GHOSH : Inspired by the cuisine of the royal palaces across India, Meera Sodha will cook dishes which hail from a bygone era of Kings, Queens and feasts. Amitav Ghosh will read from his Ibis Trilogy. 
 
 
 
· Thursday 14th -  Tea & Poetry Reading -  TISHANI DOSHI & OMAR MUSA at Poonie’s Kitchen : Doshi’s ‘Countries of the Body’ explores moments when the boundaries of our body collapse at death, sex and birth. She also explores external lands in her travels. Musa, a Malaysian-Australian rapper and poet, reads from his collection of poetry ‘Parang’ which explores Malaysian jungles, dark Australian streets, and dreams. 
 
 
 
· Friday 15th - TEA & POETRY Reading - with FIONA SHAW and MONA ARSHI at Poonie’s Kitchen : In celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of the Nobel Prize-winning poet, William Butler Yeats, Fiona Shaw recites her favourite Yeats poems, learnt in her childhood and committed to memory. This year’s Forward Poetry Prize winner, Mona Arshi, reads from her award winning collection, Small Hands. 
 
 
· Saturday 16th – Thinking Out Loud - KENAN MALIK on The Quest for a Moral Compass : He tells the stories of the great philosophers, and breathes life into their ideas, while also challenging many of our most cherished moral beliefs. Engaging and provocative, this talk will confront some of humanity’s deepest questions. Where do values come from? Is God necessary for moral guidance? Are there absolute moral truths? 
 
 
 
· Sunday 17th – Duet - GREGORY PARDLO and MONA ARSHI on Poetry: the Personal and the Political : Two of the finest poets of our time, whose work, besides its incredible power and lyricism offers political and social commentary, discuss and read from their work.
