views 978A Common Man, a movie by veteran director Chandran Rutnam won the three awards at the Madrid International Film Festival. Speaking to Daily Mirror Mr. Rutnam said the Movie had received awards for Best Picture and the Best Director while the Best Actor’s award went to Sir Ben Kingsley.
“The movie was nominated for five categories at the Madrid International Film Festival. It achieved the best three awards at the festival,” he said.
A Common Man is a production of Asia Digital Entertainment which produced the feature film, The Road From Elephant Pass, a Finalist Award winner at the 2011 New York International Television and Film Awards. The film has been adapted for the screen and directed by Chandran Rutnam.
A Common Man is produced by Manohan Nanayakkara, B.S. Radha Krishnan and Chandran Rutnam.
In A Common Man, which is set in Colombo, Sri Lanka, a mysterious man (Ben Kingsley) has planted five bombs in the politically-scarred city that are set to explode unless four major terrorists are immediately released from prison.
