Recipe: X-Mas Fudge

It is the season to start looking up old family recipes, taking stock of ingredients at hand and thinking about what to prepare for the big day. But along with the season of merriment enters welcomed guests whose visit can only be extra sweetened by a piece of this delectable fudge.

Sweet and crunchy and doused in wholesome creamy goodness, this fudge will unite friends and family in a heartbeat. I would recommend that this dish be made in bucket loads for you would be surprised to find that the need for a piece of fudge will have to be satiated many times through the day and season!. Ingredients

3 cups Milk Chocolate Chips
1 large packet of marshmellows
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (14oz)
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup almonds, Chopped
40 Caramels, Unwrapped And Cut Into Pieces

 


Directions

In a large saucepan, combine chocolate chips, marshmallows and sweetened condensed milk.

Cook on low heat, stirring constantly until melted.

Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla. Fold in half of the caramels.

Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan.

Whilst still hot top with remaining caramels and sprinkle with pecans.

Cool, then cut into small squares.
