As the Christmas sprits works itself through the streets and shops and into our households, my heart and soul and especially my stomach shouts out the need for Christmas goodies.

Every year we are inundated with such traditional favorites like Christmas cake, rich cake or love cake. With friends and families dropping in during the holidays, I always like to keep my table stocked with different homemade snacks for all to indulge in.

Be it sweet or savory, everyone is willing to try a new addition to the table. So why not give my Christmas fudge a try, easy to make, delicious to eat and it will keep your friends coming back for more. Christmas fudge it is!

Ingredients

1 ½ cups of broken dark chocolate

½ cup of milk chocolate

1 tablespoon of peanut butter

1 can of condensed milk

2 tablespoons of butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

For decorations Chocolate buttons, pebbles, jujubes etc

Method

First of all take your cookie cutters, if you have festive themed ones, all the better, but just plain round cookie cutters will also do, later you can get the kids to decorate them as baubles.
Take some foil, cut a square a bit bigger than your cookie cutter, then place the cookie cutter on the tin foil and press firmly round the edges, set aside to fill with fudge later.

Boil water in a saucepan, place a glass bowl on the saucepan, put in the cup of broken dark chocolate and broken milk chocolate, allow them to melt stirring occasionally. The add the
tablespoon of peanut butter  and vanilla. Stir thoroughly on a low flame until everything has mixed through.

Then pour in the mixture into your desired cookie cutter mould, filling up to the top. Refrigerate uncovered for two hours or until the fudge has set. Once set carefully push the fudge out of the moulds.

Finally gather the kids and let them decorate your Christmas fudge to their hearts content.

Your lovely decorated Christmas fudge can be either enjoyed instantaneously at the table or be wrapped as Christmas goodies to be given as delectable gifts to loved ones. What a
Merry Christmas to be had by one and all!
