Aaliyah Bawa Mansoor finds baking therapeutic, after a long day at work. Owner at CuppaCrème, she has been baking for years now, for friends and family. And it was just last November that she decided to give her baked goodies a brand, prompted by the same people who have grown to love and enjoy the various cakes and cupcakes, made with love and other ingredients.
“I always found an excuse for baking!” confesses Aaliyah. She handles CuppaCrème all by herself, despite it being a side career. CuppaCrème’s menu consists of cake and cupcakes, made using simple flavours such as vanilla and chocolate. Red velvet is an option too.

Aaliyah whips up these treats using ingredients sourced locally, in addition to a few foreign ingredients to ensure that the final products are richer in taste and quality. She tops them up with either vanilla or chocolate buttercream, and for the rich, indulgent cake or cupcake, there is chocolate ganache frosting.
“I get quite decorative when it comes to frosting cakes and cupcakes. I pay a lot of attention to detail,” she explains. There are days when Aaliyah comes home from work and pulls an all-nighter for an order the next day.

Since the launch of CuppaCrème, the response has been nothing short of positive. Aaliyah says that it’s been great and she has been thankful for the support. “I’m really happy that the word is going around! I really do enjoy doing this.” She would like to open a designated outlet for CuppaCrème someday. She requires two days notice for an order. The minimum order for regular sized cupcakes is 10, while it’s 20 for mini cupcakes and 1kg for cake.

They're are soft, fresh and an absolute treat to the palate. They're not only delicious they look stunning too. Great for birthdays, hens nights, christenings, anything really. I've ordered from Aaliya a few times and they've always been ready on time and every cupcake is decorated to perfection. Highly recommended!
