When Adnaan Shabbir Hussain Dawoodbhoy was studying in Malaysia, he would get together with his flat mates and whip up delicious milkshake concoctions, using simple ingredients and ice cream.

Today, he starts Bubsy’s Milkshakes, a milkshake delivery service teamed up with Quickee.lk, where customers can view the complete menu on the Facebook page and place an order for a milkshake/s of their choice.

Adnaan designed the 14-item menu all by himself, complete with innovative, fun names to go, and he has been working on Bubsy’s Milkshakes for the past one and a half months. “I want it to be online-oriented so it would be easier for our customers.

There isn’t a specified milkshake delivery service in Colombo so I would like to fill that void,” said Adnaan.

The menu features indulgent milkshakes cleverly titled the Belgian Chocolate Strawberia (a mix of Belgian chocolate, strawberry ice cream and fresh strawberries), the Smooth Biscuit Caramela (Twix chocolate and vanilla ice cream), To Mars With Oreo (mix of Oreos with Mars chocolate and blended together with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup), the Marshmallow For My Fellow (marshmallows blended with marshmallow essence and vanilla and strawberry ice cream), Bubsy’s Peanut Caramela (caramel layers with Belgian chocolate, peanuts, honey and chocolate ice cream), and the Biscuit Pudding Shake which involves milk, biscuits and chocolate cream blended with vanilla ice cream.

Other varieties include the Bubsy’s Bubble Gum Blast (how actual bubble gum is used in this, I am not told as it is a secret), Rosemary’s Destiny (strawberry ice cream blended with rose syrup and fresh milk), Bubsy’s Saffron Surfer (vanilla ice cream blended with saffron syrup and honey), Kandos Koolio Extravaganza (Kandos original cashew nut chocolate blended with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce), I Luv Strawberries (fresh strawberries blended with strawberry ice cream and strawberry sauce), I Want Some Honey (vanilla ice cream blended with honey), Cadbury Barfi Sensation Ultra (chocolate, chocolate sauce and chocolate flakes blended with vanilla ice cream) and the Iced Milo Version 2.0 (original Milo milk blended with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce), all of which are made fresh to order and involve the best ingredients available.

Should you prefer to have chocolate ice cream in your milkshake instead of the vanilla, you can make this request when placing an order.

Customers can visit the Bubsy’s Milkshakes page on Facebook, click on the menu tab to view the menu and proceed to make the order online.

There is no minimum order for the milkshakes, and delivery is available for Colombo city limits, Battaramulla and Rajagiriya.
