Call them chicken strips, chicken fingers or chicken nuggets, chicken goujons as they are traditionally known in the culinary world are an instant classic with the whole family.

Their wholesome goodness will tick a lot of the much needed nutrients that children need and you can make it a family meal to be enjoyed by all. You can also add your own blend of spices that you’re family prefer.

To be enjoyed either as a snack, in school lunches or as part of a main meal, my version of baked chicken goujons are sure to make you out be to the culinary goddess that you secretly are!

Ingredients

Strips of boneless chicken

Yogurt

Breadcrumbs

Seasoning

Beaten egg

Grated parmesean

Dried herbs

Method

Take your chicken strips and mix in about two tablespoons of yogurt. You can add some salt and pepper.

The yogurt softens the meat and makes it extra juicy. After about half an hour
of marinating.

Dip the chicken strips in beaten egg and roll them in the breadcrumbs. You can sift dried herbs and dried grated parmasean through the breadcrumbs before you roll the chicken strips. If you like things a bit spicy add some chilli flakes to the breadcrumb mixture.

Place on a baking tray and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and the chicken is cooked through.

Since it is boneless chicken it should be done soon.

Enjoy with a side of vegetables, ketchup or a lovely mayonnaise dip.
