The next time you go shopping at Aviraté, do make sure to pop in at Aviraté Café right next door. After all, all that shopping is bound to make you go hungry.

Choose from a wide range of sandwiches, beverages, pastries and desserts as well. Popular favourites at the café will include the smoked chicken submarine, grilled chicken and cheese sandwich, white mocha hazelnut latte and their chocolate cupcakes or mousse.

A wide range of cold and hot beverages dominate the menu, each one a different specialty. The café has been open for two years now, along with opening of their flagship clothing store Aviraté.

Quality is of utmost importance to them as they firmly believe in serving the very best to their customers - people who patronize the café on an almost daily basis, coming back to eat or drink their absolute favourites. The menu changes every six months or so and when they do add a new item to the menu, it will be mentioned on the Aviraté Facebook page.

Not just specializing in hot and cold coffees/beverages, the café also focuses on tea. They serve fifteen different varieties of tea some of which include Rose Oolong and Ceylon Spice Chai. The tea is also sold in individual boxes priced at Rs.200 (small box) and Rs.500 (large box) respectively.

When it comes to expansion, Food Factor learned that there are no immediate plans as yet. But if they do open another outlet, it will be right next to a new Aviraté outlet. “Wherever we open a flagship store, a café will always be right next to it,” stated John, the café’s manager. The menu is halal as well.  

Aviraté Café is open from 7am-9pm everyday except for public holidays. They are located at No.30, Maitland Crescent, Colombo 07.
