With teas brewed to perfection, Tea Avenue has provided you with the ultimate tea experience. Although this venture was initiated by a family that was involved with tea since the 1930s, their selection of food and beverages are mind-blowing.

The recently introduced ice cream burgers, the ‘Lavish’ range of shakes, waffles and other items have definitely made them stand out from the rest of the restaurants in Colombo. Adding in more excitement to their venture, a new outlet recently opened its doors to the public in Colpetty. Located in Marine Drive, the new outlet is a cosy venue by the sea and you could simply drop into dine in at any time during the day.

Speaking to Daily Mirror Life, Tea Avenue Managing Director, Sajeev De Silva said that in terms of location there are two outlets at Barnes Place and World Trade Centre.

“The outlet  at WTC is a bit hidden but this will be more or less the second outlet open to the public in terms of visibility etc. We expect it to capture the crowd in this area as well and I believe that the convenience is what people look into mostly. Our plan is to open more outlets in Colombo and franchise the brand internationally so that we have a local operation going global. Our main focus is on tea and to promote it globally."

The next time you go down Marine Drive, do not forget to drop into this cosy outlet and indulge in some of their mouth-watering delicacies.

Operating hours - Sundays to Thursdays 7.00am to 11.00pm. Fridays and Saturdays - 7.00am to midnight. Open on Public holidays
